The return of 'the Filipino Flash' Nonito Donaire will likely come in his native country.

"The Philippine network, ABS-CBN, wants him to fight in the Philippines,"said the chairman of Top Rank, Bob Arum on Monday.

Donaire is coming off a sixth-round stoppage loss at the hands of Nicholas Walters on October 18th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California for the WBA featherweight title.

Donaire last fought in the Philippines in April of 2009 when he halted Raul Martinez at the historic Araneta Coliseum in Manila. It wasn't too long ago that Donarie was considered one of the games premiere prizefighters but he has hit a rough patch recently. Not only has he suffered defeats to Guillermo Rigondeaux and Walters, he struggled mightily to get past a faded Vic Darchinyan last November, stopping his old nemesis in the ninth round while he was down on two scorecards.

There is talk of Donaire moving back down to 122-pounds.

The exact date of his 2015 debut is yet to be determined. His manager, Cameron Dunkin says - "I think it'll be sometime in April or May. It wont be right away."
