Donaire-Walters Being Added To Golovkin-Rubio Bill

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, a featherweight showdown between WBA champions Nonito Donaire (33-2, 21KOs) and Nicholas Walters (24-0, 20KOs) is going to be the opening fight of the HBO televised broadcast to the middleweight battle between Gennady Golovkin and Marco Antonio Rubio.

Donaire is the WBA's "super champion" at the featherweight limit, while Walters is the "regular champion" and regarded as one of the most dangerous punchers at any weight. Some are already regarding the match as the most dangerous of Donaire's career. Both Donaire and Walters are promoted by Top Rank.

The card takes place on October 18th from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

This will show if Walters the real deal or not. I'm not a Donaire fan but I give him big props for taking this fight.
