| Don King: Canelo is Ready For Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Flamboyant Promoter Don King is predicting that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (40-0-1, 30KOs), is capable as well as willing to fight the best pound for pound - Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Almost mistaken for an early start to the hurricane season in Cancun, Don King - a force of nature in his own right, breezed into the World Boxing Council's Convention's afternoon session in the Grand Oasis Hotel, Cancun, but sat quietly throughout the session listening intently.
When asked if there could be an age factor, as Canelo is twenty two, while Floyd is thirty-five, King dismissed it with the sweep of his hand, suggesting: "Age doesn't have anything tgo do with it, when you've become as good as Canelo is. It's opportunity that counts. If he has the ability, then he should prevail. Because yesterday's nobody, becomes tomorrow's somebody! So it's always to pit the best against the best.
"Canelo is now heralded as the best, and....the question is, can he get past the Money Man? And he should be given the opportunity to try."
But does Canelo possess the technical boxing skills to be able to win? More than ready with a entrepreneural answer Don King said: "You can never tell, because some people can rise from the depths of their inner character. Now that's spirit."
Don King insisted: "Floyd Mayweather is unquestingly the best fighter in the world, so there's always going to be some degree of challenge. You ain't going to let him (Floyd) sit there, condone and pay homage. If you're a young guy coming through, you're going to try and capture the image.
