Dmitry Pirog’s first title defense isn’t happening on March 11 as was previously reported by BoxingScene. “We had firstly intended to stage our tournament on one of the Saturdays in March but all of the possible dates were occupied so we finally agreed on March 11. However, due to a fortunate chain of circumstances, DIVS, which is a venue for our event in Ekaterinburg, became free for March 26, which is a Saturday. Therefore we’ve decided to postpone an entire show to the new date” said promoter German Titov to Allboxing.ru.

Four fights are confirmed for the show. WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog (17-0, 14 KOs) will make his initial defense of the title against an opponent yet to be confirmed. Also, WBC International lightweight champion Alisher Rakhimov (21-0, 11 KOs) will risk his title over twelve rounds, and Dominican rising prospect Felix Diaz (8-0, 5 KOs) will take up his biggest test so far against Ukrainian former champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs) over eight. Ukrainian heavyweight talent Vyacheslav Glazkov (8-0, 6 KOs) is penciled for an eight-rounder as well.
