In just a year Andrey Ryabinskiy’s “World of Boxing” - a Moscow-based promotional company - has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in prizefighting but specifically in its cruiserweight section. Through assistance of WBA champion Denis Lebedev (26-2, 20 KOs) and recently crowned WBC titlist Grigory Drozd (39-1, 27 KOs), World of Boxing controls half of the 200lb landscape. Its continental power is being supported by the third gem in the mixture – 2008 Beijing heavyweight gold medalist and European champion Rakhim Chakhkiev (20-1, 15 KOs).
If that wasn't enough, World of Boxing announced they have reached an agreement with yet another inspiring Russian cruiserweight Dmitry Kudryashov (15-0, 15 KOs), who is rated #13 by the IBF and #14 by the WBC.
Kudryashov’s first fight under the aegis of World of Boxing will take place on November 28 in Moscow. Kudryashov has previously defeated a number of second-tier opponents, including Shawn Cox, Zack Mwekassa, Ivica Bacurin, Lubos Suda and most recently Guilian Ilie.
