German heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko is, according to boxwelt.com, not fighting former world champion Shannon Briggs on May 21 in London. Boxwelt quotes Dimitrenko´s legal representative Lukke Moerschner, who states that his client has never even been contacted in regards to fighting Briggs on David Haye's undercard.

According to Moerschner there have been no contact with Dimitrenko and Hayemaker Promotions nor any third part.

Dimitrenko already made a statement on his Twitter account on May 3 that he was not fighting Briggs but that was apparently lost in the media flow. Briggs vs Dimitrenko was first mentioned in some media late April.

Dimitrenko will however continue his career and fight later this year but when, where and against who is still open.
