Dimitrenko vs Mormeck Clash is Ordered By The EBU

By Ruslan Chikov

Former WBA champion Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22 KOs) has been appointed by the EBU as the official challenger to the European heavyweight champion Alexander Dimitrenko (31-1, 21 KOs). The 38-year-old Frenchman has put together three wins since moving up to the heavyweight division. The EBU has give both sides until June 26 to reach an agreement or a purse bid will be ordered.

Whether or not the fight happens is unknown. Mormeck has been rumored to be possibly fighting Alexander Povetkin for the WBA's interim heavyweight title and/or their "regular" heavyweight title. There is a chance that current WBA champion David Haye will become the organization's "super champion" as he heads into a unification duel with IBO/WBO/IBF champ Wladimir Klischko.

id love to see the fight but mormeck would be the stupidest guy on the planet to fight him because of his WBA ranking.its not a matter of courage at all! he's higher ranked then dimitrenko & is in line…

Dimitrenko will whoop Mormeck. He is old, too small and too slow. __________________ MODERATOR WARNING- STOP LINKING TO SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS IN YOUR POSTS

Dimitrenko stops Mormeck inside 6 rounds in a lop-sided fight.
