Dimitrenko-Sprott Bill: Boytsov, Gomez, Menzer, More

After six months of being away, Universum Box-Promotion returns in Hamburg on the 24th of September with a special event at their newly established training facility. The main fight of the evening is a heavyweight clash between the reigning European champion Alexander Dimitrenko (31-1-0 (21KOs) and the former British champion Michael Sprott (36-16-0 (17KOs). Sprott was last seen as a sparring partner for  world champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Dimitrenko - "My ultimate goal is to become world heavyweight champion. I am in excellent shape. I trained very hard and will not underestimate the Sprott, who is certainly experienced. That's why I prepared myself before with the best team in the universe

Trainer Michael Timm said - "Sprott is an experienced man who faced the big names in the ring. We prepared very intensively prepared for him. We have carefully analyzed Sprott. "

Heavyweight hope Denis Boytsov (28-0-0 (23KOs) returns after a his latest hand surgery and intensive rehabilitation. The opponent is the American Matthew Greer (14-6-0 (13KOs).

"After my last fight against Mike Sheppard last March, I again had surgery because I had severe pain. Those were very tough months for me. Now I am feel feeling great and am looking forward to the fight," said Boytsov.

Also, Ina Menzer (26-1-0 (10KOs) is returning for the first time since her defeat to Jeannine Garside (10-3-1 (4KOs).

Menzer said - "I'm glad to fight again. And I want my title.

The Olympic champion from 2008, Rakhim "The Machine" Chakhkiev (10-0-0) (8KOs) celebrates with his fight against Michael Simms (20-9-1 (13KOs), with the Olympian making his  ten round debut.

The "Black Panther" Juan Carlos Gomez (49-2-0 (37KOs) shall return in his 52nd professional fight against Darnell Wilson (23-12-3 (20KOs).

The opponents of ex-champion Vitaly Tajbert and Marcel Meyerdiercks will be announced shortly.

juan carlos gomez vs the ding-a-ling man & boytsov vs matt greer sounds like a decent undercard even though gomez is just staying busy & boytsov is testing out the hand again.gomez was in terrible shape his last few fights…
