Diaz vs Gamboa Headlines 'A Puno Limpio' on Sept. 7

The successful series “A Puño Limpio” is back. The new edition will take place on Friday, September 7 at the coliseo Ruben Zayas Montañez in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, with the fight between unbeaten Kenneth Diaz and Yoelvis Gamboa in the main event of the show, presented by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), in association with Top Rank, to be broadcast live on WAPA America.

“We are going to present A Puño Limpio for the first time in Trujillo Alto with nine fights and in the main event the prospect Kenneth Diaz will face Yoelvis Gamboa, a good fight, adding “a war” in the co-main event when Osenohad Vazquez will fight against Anthony Sanchez”, Promoter Ivan Rivera, PRBBP president said.

Diaz (6-0, 5 KOs), an undefeated prospect from San Juan, Puerto Rico, will make his hardest fight when he faces Gamboa (7-1, 3 KOs), who is the younger brother of former world champion and boxing superstar Yuriorkis Gamboa. The bout between Diaz and Gamboa is scheduled to six rounds in the welterweight division.

In the co-main event, hardened Osenohad “Cano” Vazquez (6-1, 2 KOs), from Vega Baja, will face tough Anthony Sanchez (5-1, 3 KOs), from Toa Baja, also scheduled for six rounds at junior welter.

Seven other fights will complete the card.

“A Puño Limpio” will be broadcast live to the United States on WAPA America from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (ET).
