BoxingScene.com's Jake Donovan recently spoke to IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey in an article that can be found here :

A showdown between Bailey and former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander has been agreed to for weeks however the venue hadn't been finalized.

Golden Boy wanted to stage the fight in Alexander's hometown of St Louis where he is a proven ticket seller. In previous interviews on BoxingScene, Bailey stated that he wouldn't go to Alexander's hometown.

In Donovan's article Bailey said, "It never mattered to me where the fight takes place, but I just didn't feel like I had to go to St. Louis. I mean, I'm giving him a f***ing shot at the title. He's not even in contention, so why should I go to his hometown? It could've taken place anywhere else and wouldn't have been a big deal to me."

Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham had previously stated to BoxingScene that they would be more than happy to fight Bailey outside of St. Louis. "We can fight him on Mars. The result will be the same. Bailey is going to get his ass whooped," Cunningham told us a few weeks ago.

Cunningham was pleased to hear that the fight was taking place in Memphis and offered a prediction for the fight.

"I think Memphis is a great location for this fight. Everybody knows that Memphis is known for their barbecue so it's the perfect place for Devon to smoke Bailey," Cunningham told Boxingscene.

Should be a good fight. Both guys will try to impose there strengths on the next, but there can only be one winner. Got to give the edge to Alexander because he has too many tools. Bailey will be outboxed for sure, but he knows what we all know, so he may be a bit braver himself and try to win...

U guys are stupid, Team Alexander will not take anybody lightly. Bailey is one of the biggest puncher's in boxing, but all of Devon's opponents are tough. So he should be confident, Bailey says he's going to KO Devon. STOP HATING,and enjoy the fight.

Bailey won't win a Round because Alexander will DISRUPT his rhythm and timing with CLINCHING so it is going to be extremely difficult for Bailey to land with his Power like Maidana Alexander by UD EASY! And even if Bailey does land, one thing Alexander has shown is a GOOD CHIN!
This is going to be a really good fight, better than most people think.
Alight... I'll bite... how? IT's either going to be a one-man beat down in favor of Devon or x amount of boring rounds until Bailey KO's him
