Devon Alexander Open To Tim Bradley Fall Rematch

Former unified world light-welterweight title holder Devon Alexander wants a second meeting with Timothy Bradley in November after Manny Pacquiao distanced himself from an immediate rematch with the WBO welterweight champion.

25 year-old Alexander, now campaigning at welterweight himself, is due to fight in August, with several opponents in the frame, but then hopes to face Bradley in the first defence of the Californian's 147lb belt.

“I would love the opportunity to avenge my only loss to Bradley – definitely,” Alexander told World Boxing News.

“I will take care of business in August and then we will see what happens about facing him in November.

“I don't think Bradley will want the fight though as I think he wants to milk that belt with a lesser opponent and avoid another fight with me.”

“I had his last fight 7-5 to Pacquiao so I don’t think he wants to go there again or face me either.”

‘The Great’ has previously expressed to WBN his interest in challenging new IBF champion Randall Bailey and rumours are now rife that they could meet in the fall.Alexander would then have an ideal bargaining tool to face Bradley in another unification contest should he overcome the ‘KO King’ and secure the November 10 rematch.

Alexander and Bradley last fought in January 2011 for both the WBC and WBO 140lb titles, with a cut ending the fight in the tenth round with Bradley ahead on all three of the judges’ cards and another meeting could not be ruled out later this year.

there's no need for a rematch, bradley won the first fight convincingly, bradley > alexander....plain and simple

Damn, seem's like everybody's trying to take that strap from Timmy. Realistically, there's so many reasons not to stage a re-match: 1) Would rather see Khan give Bradley all he could handle in an even matchup 2) Would rather see…

Bradley should go get Khan and forget about facing Floyd. Amir Khan has already called him out several times. This would be another huge fight. Afterwards, give Alexander another boxing lesson and then retire unless Pac decides to have a…
