Devon Alexander Hires a Strenght and Conditioning Coach

Kevin Cunningham, who trains and manages former unified junior welterweight  champion Devon Alexander advised BoxingScene.com that Alexander has added Matt Brown to the team. Brown will serve as the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Brown, like Alexander resides in St. Louis, MO.  Brown has worked with other St.  Louis fighters such as undefeated cruiserweight prospect Ryan Coyne, Tyrone Chapman and former title challenger Deandre Latimore.

Alexander is set to return to the ring in late June or early July versus Lucas Mathysse of Argentina in a fight televised by HBO.

According to all the previous posters, it seems Alexander needs more of everything! Hahahaha... But seriously, I think the confidence issue is most important. He needs to go into the ring without any doubts. Against a big puncher like Lucas…

whatever needs to happen to boost his confidence back up or have him feeling ready for a fight, the better. as long as this brings him ready to fight on fight night, then im okay with it....hopefully he bounces back…
