Derry Mathews was scheduled to face Ismael Barroso this weekend in in Liverpool, England at the Echo Arena for the WBA interim-lightweight title. But things hit a snag on Monday, according to Greg Cohen who promotes Barroso.

"The people at Frank Warren came to me - he's the promoter of the event - they didn't tell me till yesterday that (Barroso) needed a visa," BoxingScene was told by the veteran promoter, who exhausted all avenues to secure one for his boxer."I went to Top Rank, I asked who their specialist was, they gave him to me. To make a long story shot, I couldn't get it done."

So Cohen- who is staging a show from the Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minnesota, that is his first on CBS Sports Network - came up with a quick solution.

"I switched Tony Luis with Barroso," said Cohen to BoxingScene.com on Tuesday. Luis, coming off a big victory over Karl Dargan was scheduled to fight in Minnesota on Friday versus Ira Terry.

"Tony Luis is now fighting for the title, it's all approved and Barroso is fighting in Minnesota, now."

Cohen says that Luis will be a flight later tonight to the UK.
