MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Heavyweight destroyer Deontay Wilder was ringside for Floyd Mayweather's twelve round majority decision victory over Marcos Maidana on Saturday night. Wilder, like many others, believed Mayweather would have a much easier time with the Argentine puncher. It was no easy fight for the pound-for-pound king, with many members of the press scoring the bout in favor of Mayweather by a 7-5 [115-113] tally.

"It was an exciting fight. Everybody got their money's worth tonight. It was definitely a battle. I think [Maidana] did a tremendous job. He did a lot more than I thought he would do. I thought it would easier [for Floyd]. He did an awesome job and he can go home with head held high knowing that he gave it his all. Definitely [he did enough to justify a rematch]. People will pay the same the same money to see it again and maybe even a lot more. I definitely think he did enough to get a rematch, hands down. I know I would watch it," Wilder told BoxingScene.com.

[QUOTE=Lou Cipher]Roid will retire. He lost to Maidana, and only a true idiot would now believe he could beat Khan or last 5 rounds with Pacquiao. Roid Mayweather was exposed mentally and physically. He can never beat a top fighter now that the mystique is shattered and the blueprint is laid.[/QU...

Deontay means "can't throw a jab" in at least 8 minor languages.

the rematch would be a waste of time, theres nothing maidana can do differently to yield a different result, floyd only has 3 fights left, we need to see better fights
