Deontay Wilder: Arreola Scared, Already Trying To Run!

By Edward Chaykovsky

Heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29KOs) wants to get his hands on Chris Arreola (36-3, 31KOs), who demolished Seth Mitchell in one round on Saturday night at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

Prior to Arreola-Mitchell, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer had stated that he wants to match Wilder against the winner of that fight. But, after Arreola defeated Mitchell - he started calling for a rematch with Bermane Stiverne, who won a twelve round unanimous decision over Arreola in April. Arreola is ranked at number two by the WBC, while Stiverne is ranked at number one. If WBC champion Vitali Klitschko vacates the title, the sanctioning body could order Arreola and Stiverne to fight again.

"Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy, Showtime Sports, make [the Arreola] fight happen. Arreola is scared of me though, he's already trying to run," Wilder said on the social networks.

I'd favour Arreola in this one.

This is a fight I like. IF Wilder could KO Arreola or even win a impressive UD I would have to say Americans have a legit HW contender in their hands. His power is real, i think and if he…
