Kitchener, Ontario, Canada  – Canadian cruiserweight boxing standout “Dangerous” Denton Daley (15, 1, 0) is positioned to bring the Commonwealth (British Empire) Cruiserweight Title back to North America.

Daley, a former WBA-NABA Cruiserweight Champion, has signed on with Lennox Lewis' Global Legacy Boxing and is set to face Sylvera Louis for the vacant Commonwealth Cruiserweight Title on September 9th in Toronto, Ontario.

The 34 year-old Daley made the official announcement this past weekend at Kitchener's "Rock & Rumble" event where he participated in a public sparring demonstration with his coach and former Olympian, Chris Johnson and was interviewed in the ring by Kitchener Councillor, Dave Schnider.

Daley said: "I am so happy to be here at this amazing event tonight, it's great to see so many amateurs here competing and loving the sport, it shows how boxing is alive and well in Kitchener and across Canada.  I’m so proud to live here and to be surrounded by a strong local team including Lennox Lewis, one of the world’s most famous boxing champions.”

In addition to Lewis, Daley has deep Kitchener ties to his Coach and former Olympian, Chris Johnson, award-winning Strongman, and Strength Trainer, Craig Bongelli, Assistant Trainer Keith Vanderpool, and Manager, Shevaun Voisin.

"I want to give a huge shout out to our Canadian Olympic flyweight fighter, Mandy Bujold" said Daley, "She's on her way to meet up with the rest of the Canadian team in Montreal, as she heads to Rio on August 2nd.  She needs our support, so let’s get behind her!"

Daley told reporters: "I couldn’t be more excited to have signed with Global Legacy Boxing, I think Lennox Lewis and Les Woods and the entire GLB team have a great vision to grow the sport of boxing in Canada and world-wide.  I plan on doing my part by proudly representing my fans, team, and sponsors when I claim the Commonwealth (British Empire) Cruiserweight Title on Friday, September 9th in Toronto."
