Helsinki, Finland -  In a battle of junior welterweights, Denis Shafikov (27-0-1, 16KOs) of Russia secured a ninth round stoppage of Italy's Giuseppe Lauri (52-8, 31KOs). Shafikov, P 3 Boxing´s Russian star, wins the vacant EBU jr. welterweight title Shafikov wins his second straight since the lackluster draw with Brunet Zamora in October 2010. Lauri, after build two fight win streak, get stopped for the second time in four fights. He suffered a TKO loss to Paul McCloskey in June 2010.
