It's been awhile since we've seen Demetrius Andrade in the ring. According to his promoter, his return could come on in the late summer.
"Right now, we're tentatively scheduling Demetrius to fight on August the 15th at the Foxwoods Casino," said Artie Pelullo, who's company Banner Promotions co-promotes him alongside Star Boxing. The veteran promoters said that the opponent and television outlet have yet to be worked out.
The 27-year old southpaw, who has a record of 21-0 (14 KO's) was last seen in the ring about a year ago when he halted Brian Rose in his first defense of the WBO junior middleweight title at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Andrade was scheduled to face Jermell Charlo on Showtime in Las Vegas in December but pulled out of the fight citing concerns about the size of his purse.
