Delvin Rodriguez Expecting a Very Tough Miguel Cotto

By Salvador Rodriguez

Former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-4, 30KOs) will not be underestimated when he meets Delvin Rodriguez (28-6-3, 16KOs) on October 5th in Orlando, Florida. Cotto has lost his last two fights, to Austin Trout and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rodriguez is not paying any attention to those defeats. He expects the best Cotto possible, and expects the Puerto Rican superstar to come in with a steel will of determination to show the fans that he still has enough gas left in the tank.

"He is a warrior, and it seems to me that he still has left enough in boxing. I think he's going to be tougher now, because he wants to demonstrate that he still has that potential [to be a force]. It is a difficult fight for me and I am going to prepare myself to the max, but I feel confident and I know that I have the potential to beat him and I can do the necessary things to shine that night," Rodriguez siad.
