BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Dave Coldwell, head of boxing for Hayemaker Promotions, put in a very high winning bid of £400,000 pounds for the super middleweight contest between BBBofC British champion James DeGale (9-0, 7KOs) and challenger George Groves (11-0, 9KOs). Adam Booth, also for Hayemaker, put in a bid of £325,000, and promoter Frank Warren put in a bid of £320,000. The fight is ordered to take place by the end of April. Hayemaker has two weeks to name the venue and the date. So far no television date has been secured.
Coldwell will back out of the deal. I am sure, then Booth gets it for £325K. My name is Charles Sexton aka Asterix aka Asstricks. Aka THE LAW Aka Gizmo!
Are you allowed to get out of the bid?

That is not purses. The bids are to host the fight as the main promoter guys. Since Frank and Haye share each other, one will be the main promoter who has the venue etc...
