The long wait for confirmation of the time and date for James DeGale versus George Groves may finally be over as the details of the contest are expected to be announced tomorrow by Frank Warren, along with news of the WBO 175lb fight between Juergen Braehmer and Nathan Cleverly. David Coldwell won the purse bids for the DeGale-Groves fight and has been working with Warren with an eye to staging the contest on a Warren-promoted show. Both fighters have talked the fight up in recent weeks, both have posted wins over nondescript opposition as they ready themselves for the clash, it now seems that we will finally find out where and when the British blockbuster will take place.

This particular fight's genesis has been long, varied and full of speculation over whether the showdown will actually take happen. Warren and Coldwell, it would seem, have now managed to work out the details, much to the delight of British boxing fans, who feared that they may never get to see the country's two premier prospects face-to-face in the ring.

More details to follow.

He's a former decent amateur and current seemingly hard punching yet possibly suceptible unbeaten p...

do british people think all their prospects are gonna be undefeated all time great world champions? have they seen groves fight as opposed to just following the hype? he sucks and his own promoter knows this that's why they are cashing out now as opposed to later because there won't be a later fo...

DeGale will box circles around Groves Kenny Anderson was raping Groves before he gassed, and he took the fight on 2 weeks notice. You'll see the gulf in class between DeGale and every other prospect in the country in this fight. The only thing that will make me more happy than Chunky getting t...

This is a cracking little fight, maybe if only from a british perspective. I think the general consensus is Degale wins relatively comfortably and I have to go along with this myself. However, it's interesting to note that a mere couple of fights ago, Groves was considered far more of a threat t...
