According to a report in The Sun, British super middleweight prospect James DeGale was involved in a scuffle at a pool party within a Spain hotel and had his tooth knocked out. DeGale was partying with Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed at a hotel in Puerto Banus, Spain, when he got into a row with a few British fans. One fan felt DeGale was ignoring him and sucker punched the boxer, which resulted in DeGale losing a false front tooth.

One witness told the paper: "Several Manchester lads got into a row with him. It wasn't clear what about. Then this chap knocked his tooth out. The guy thought he was being ignored and took a swing."
