De La Hoya Would Welcome Cotto Talks With Open Arms

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya would welcome Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs) with open arms. The WBA champion's promotional contract with Top Rank, who guided his entire career, expires on December 31st. In a few recent interviews, Cotto revealed that his loyalty remains with Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum. But if Cotto decides to go across the street, De La Hoya is waiting to hear him out.

"Cotto has a contract right now. Obviously Golden Boy will always be interested in promoting the best [fighters] in the world. If Miguel Cotto is free [of any contract], we are here with open arms to listen to him, to talk to him, to see what he decides to do. we can't do anything because Miguel has a contract," De La Hoya told Pele Cavaso.

Best fights for cotto would be at Golden boy because pac would beat him again and JCC is too big tbh. But fights with Mayweather,Alveraz, Khan, Ortiz, Kirkland would be big.
De La Hoya wouldn't stand back to allow Marquez to get the fight with Pacquiao. Marquez had to leave them to get that fight and they **** on him publicly afterwards after all his years with them. Just like they…
Cotto should be bigger star. Top Rank , I feel did not fully support him. I think he would probably relate better with Oscar cause they both boxed and Oscar lives in Puerto Rico.
Do they also both prance around…
