Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is still not convinced that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to face Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd.

During Monday's WBC convention dinner, where De La Hoya and Mayweather were both present, Floyd told reporters that he wasn't interested in facing Amir Khan in his next fight and continued to call for a fight with Pacquiao.

"I won't believe it until I see both of them in the ring and the bell rings," De La Hoya told ESPN Deportes.

De La Hoya has a stake in the fight going forward, because he wants his fighter, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, to fight on May 2nd against WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Mayweather plans to fight on the date with or without Pacquiao, but Canelo is not going to step away.

"Canelo" will go on May 2, period," said De La Hoya. "The good thing is that negotiations have continued and that's very important, so I think that fight is important for the boxing world, for the weekend of May 5 it's the biggest fight that can be given. And yes, we have plan B and plan C, but the focus for 'Canelo' is Cotto."
