By Miguel Rivera

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya has big plans in store for Erik Morales (52-7, 36KOs) - if the WBC junior welterweight champion is able to defeat unbeaten Danny Garcia (22-0, 14KOs) on the 24th of March in Houston, Texas.

De La Hoya visited Morales at his training camp at the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Mexico. If Morales overcomes Garcia, the door will be open for numerous possibilities and many lucrative opponents.

"Experience is very important in world championship fights and Erik Morales has it," De La Hoya said. De La Hoya said.

"If Erik wins, there will be big plans for him. He is respected around the world and there would be great fights against Amir Kahn, Humberto Soto, Lucas Matthysse or a rematch against Marcos Maidana."
