David Price-Ondrej Pala Set For March 29th Clash

Ondrej Pala (32-4, 22 KOs) has been confirmed as the latest opponent for British heavyweight David Price (16-2, 14 KOs). The pair will meet in an eight-round contest at the Velodrom in Berlin on March 29 th .

Pala will be a familiar face with British boxing fans having challenged Dereck Chisora for the WBO & WBA International Heavyweight titles in his last outing.

‘’This is exactly the type of fight I need,’’ said Price. ‘’Pala is a guy who isn’t afraid to come forward and trade. We saw this when he fought Chisora. Although Dereck got the stoppage, Pala was holding his own and I don’t think he was ever in any real trouble, he just got spun into the corner and the fight was waved off.

‘’Now its my turn. I’m in great shape. Everything has been going really well in the gym with Tommy (Brooks). I am looking forward to getting in there and exchanging blows with this guy. I am confident that on March 29 th I am going to get the job done.’’

‘’This is the next step in the rebuilding process for Pricey,’’ said promoter Kalle Sauerland. ‘’Pala has a lot of experience and as his knockout record suggests, he can punch. This will be a good test for David and it should give us some indication of the progress he has made so far this year.’’
