Olympia, Liverpool - David Price (12-0, 10KOs) knocked out John McDermott (26-8, 17KOs) in a very quick first round to win the vacant English title, and also earns the mandatory right to face British champion Tyson Fury. The fight was a final eliminator for Fury's title. It only took Price 73-seconds to knock McDermott out.

Within seconds of the first round, Price dropped McDermott with a combination. Price attacked him and dropped him hard for a second knockdown. He got up, with his legs gone, and once again a two-punch combination dropped McDermott for the third time - for the full count.

Needs to go in with someone like Gavern, Guinn etc. He desperately needs someone who will take him rounds and poses a threat.

Fury is a paper champ, Price is the real deal.

Price looked good tonight and he is miles ahead of Fury in every department, if they fight in May Price will put Fury away within 3 rounds. Fury is just a clown i think of him as Englands thinner and lighter punching version of Butterbean.

that kid got some power, coupled with nice speed for his weight. also he always shows up in top shape. definately keeping an eye on this one.

I've been quietly following Price's career and I'm impressed with the guy. Give him a few more learning fights and I believe in 12-18 months he takes out fury. I feel he's more of a natural fighter then fury, physically better then fury and he trains harder then fury.
