The last we saw of both middleweights David Lemieux (34-3, 31KOs) and Willie Monroe Jr. (19-2, 6KOs) they were both getting stopped by IBF/IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin. If Artie Pelullo - who's company Banner Promotions represents Monroe Jr. - had his way, we'd see them in the ring together in the spring of 2016.

"I'm talking to Golden boy right now about Willie fighting David. We would like to make that fight,'' Pelullo told BoxingScene.com this afternoon."I've mentioned it to Eric (Gomez, VP of Golden Boy Promotions) and he said he liked the idea, he likes the fight.

"I said,'You gotta have a comeback fight for him. Willie's the right fight. It's a very good fight for everybody and I said,'let me know what you think.' He said,'after the holidays we're going to bring it up there but I like the idea.'"

Pelullo says that they would have no objections to staging that fight in Lemieux's hometown of Montreal.
