On Saturday night, former two division world champion David Haye (28-4, 26 KOs) returned to the ring for the first time since 2018 - and it was more of a sparring match as he easily boxed past Joe Fournier (9-0, 9 KOs) for an eight round unanimous decision.
David Haye dealt Joe Fournier his first defeat Saturday night, but the former heavyweight and cruiserweight champion never appeared all that interested in knocking out his friend.

Evander Holyfield is 10 years older than the last time he weighed in for an official fight. The 58-year-old former heavyweight champion was almost exactly the same weight Friday, however, as he was the day before he stopped Danish veteran Brian Nielsen in the 10th round of their May 2011 bout in Copenhagen, Denmark. Holyfield stepped on the Florida Athletic Commission’s scale at 225.4 pounds Friday for his eight-round heavyweight bout Saturday night against Vitor Belfort.

Triller co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh admits that he's trying to position David Haye in a major fight. The 40-year-old Haye, a former two division champion, will end his retirement on Saturday night when he faces former friend Joe Fournier in Miami, Florida. The bout is part of the undercard to Evander Holyfield's return against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort.
By Thomas Gerbasi - Whatever David Haye is getting paid by Triller for his Saturday bout with friend and temporary rival Joe Fournier is not nearly enough. Simply put, the former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, who has always been gifted at selling a fight, is in promotional overdrive for this card, which is headlined by a matchup pitting 58-year-old Evander Holyfield against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort and a clash of two more former UFC stars in Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz.
David Haye isn’t trying to convince himself—or anyone else—that anymore will come of his boxing career beyond his next ring appearance. The former lineal cruiserweight champion and heavyweight titlist returns to the ring presumably for one night only as he faces unbeaten light heavyweight and full-time entrepreneur Joe Fournier. The two will meet in a heavyweight matchup scheduled to take place September 11 as part of Triller Fight Club Pay-Per-View event live from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Oscar De La Hoya’s planned comeback is placed hold – and could result in an entire show getting relocated. BoxingScene.com has learned that De La Hoya has been removed from the September 11 Triller Fight Club Pay-Per-View event after reportedly testing positive for COVID-19. The Hall of Fame former six-division titlist was due to face 44-year-old Vitor Belfort—a former UFC light heavyweight champion who was to make his pro boxing debut—atop the PPV event scheduled to take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
