David Haye is contemplating a sensational comeback a little more than a month after quitting the ring. The former WBA world heavyweight champion bowed out after his defeat to Wladimir Klitschko but could be tempted back. The management group behind WBC champion Vitali Klitschko are keen to set up a mega fight in Germany.
The ex-WBA world heavyweight champion is being pursued by the management group behind WBC king Vitali Klitschko. According to The Sun, the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf has been earmarked for the bout, which could potentially be held in March.
Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente told the newspaper: 'Haye is an option for Vitali’s next fight.'
Haye retired on October 13 after a disappointing display against Wladimir. The Brit fought with a broken toe but was nevertheless criticised for what many perceived to be a poor performance.
