Danny Garcia's Last 140 Fight Eyed For July in Philadelphia

By Bill "Two Scoops" Emes

According to Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs), his son is likely to return on a July date in Philadelphia. Danny has indicated that his next fight will be his final appearance at 140-pounds, as he intends to move up to the welterweight division to pursue another world title.

"We are going to fight 140 the next fight. He doesn't struggle to make 140. It's a job and it comes with the business. We are going to sit down with Al [Haymon] and Danny and myself, and if he wants to go to 147 then it is what it is," Angel said to BoxingScene.com.

Garcia-Herrera was closer than Pac-Bradley IMO.... Fight Peterson I guess, then fight someone like Alexander, Guerrero, Khan/Collazo when you move up.
