Daniel Jacobs Eyes Return on October 20th at Barclays

Middleweight contender Danny Jacobs (22-1, 19KOs) advised BoxingScene.com that he's currently in training for a planned ring return in the fall. Jacobs expects to be a part of Golden Boy Promotions' big event on October 20th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In 2011, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive type of cancer that was growing and manifested itself in a quarter-sized tumor that was wrapped around his spine and damaged his spinal nerve. Last May, Jacobs underwent life-saving surgery to remove the tumor.

He last fought in March of 2011.
