Hot prospect Custio Clayton (8-0, 7KOs), an Olympian who participated in the London Games, pulled off a tenth round knockout of his opponent Jose Emilio Perea (23-7-0) of Mexico. Perea is a former WBC Fecarbox champion.

The fans were treated to a battle between two warriors, but Clayton, powerful and fast, really took over the contest in the fifth round. Perea has also been forced to go down on one knee at the end of the rounds five and six.

The event took place at the Montreal Casino.

On the same card, the current Canadian champion at super middleweight, Shakeel Phinn (8-1-0), won by unanimous decision over Jaudiel Zepeda (12-15-1).

The Canadian champion (2013) at welterweight, Francesco Cotroni Jr. (11-7-1), won a majority decision (76-76, 78-74, 79-73) over Pablo Munguia Rojas (21-11-0), after an eight round war.
