The World Boxing Council announced that Canelo Promotions won the purse bid for the strawweight final eliminator between Filipino Denver Cuello (29-4-6, 19KOs) and Mexico's Ganigan Lopez (24-4, 14KOs). Canelo, who promote Cuello, put in a winning bid of $ 61,000, against $60,100 by Boxing Gala. The fight must be signed 10 days from today, and Canelo Promotions must deposit  10% of the bid no later than February 18 of this year with a date and venue for the contest.
