| Cotto's Trainer Not Worried About Gamboa Providing Info

By Rick Reeno Pedro Diaz, the trainer of WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs), advised BoxingScene.com that he is not worried, whatsoever, about Yuriorkis Gamboa providing information to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Diaz worked with a young Gamboa when he was an amateur back in Cuba. The two men are very familiar with each other. Mayweather recently boasted that he sat down with Gamboa, who told him everything that he needed to know about Diaz. "I don't know the game plan. The trainer can't teach him nothing because he has won titles without the trainer. I don't have anything against the trainer but Gamboa already beat all of his fighters in Cuba," Mayweather said. Diaz considers Gamboa to be a great fighter, but says the Cuban boxer doesn't know all of his secrets. "Gamboa is a great fighter. He can tell Mayweather some secrets, but he won't be able to tell him all of the secrets," Diaz told BoxingScene.com. This totally contradicts EVERYTHING Floyd has been saying. Number one, Diaz isn't fighting, Cotto is. Him and Ellerby have been saying this for weeks. Number two Roger and Floyd have said that they don't care about what other people are doing or how they're training. This is obviously just Floyd ... |

Cotto way too slow to beat Floyd. Cotto comes in slowly leading with his face and absorbs punishment well till the late rounds when his face falls apart. Little defense and reflexes that seem to be shot will give Mayweather a very easy stoppage by round 10. Cotto is a shot spent drained fighter. |
