Depending on the outcome of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's upcoming fight with Erislandy Lara on July 12, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is very interested in staging a fight between Canelo and Miguel Cotto on Cinco De Mayo weekend (May 2) in 2015.

Bradley is still a very viable option for Cotto's next fight, confirmed Arum to Cuatro Deportes. The weight appears to be the sticking point, although Arum has suggested a catch-weight of 155 or even 154.5, which allows Cotto to make a defense of his WBC  middleweight title

With Bradley coming off a decision loss to Manny Pacquiao in their April rematch, it will be interesting to see how well a Cotto-Bradley showdown would perform on pay-per-view. Cotto's recent HBO PPV against Sergio Martinez fell below expectations. The promoters, and HBO, expected at least a number around 500,000 and the card only generated 350,000 purchases.
