According to Cuban coach Pedro Diaz, former three division champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) will have three sparring sessions with hard-punching Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21KOs) in Big Bear, California, where both boxers are training.

Cotto is preparing for his challenge of undefeated WBA 154-pound champion Austin Trout on December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Golovkin, the WBA/IBO middleweight champion, should provide a good sparring experience for Cotto. At their media tour, Trout held a considerable size advantage over the Puerto Rican star. Golovkin is a very physical fighter and one of the most feared punchers in boxing.
