Cotto-Martinez To Be Announced in March, Says Arum

By Miguel Rivera

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum says the middleweight clash between Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) and WBC champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) will be officially announced sometime in the month of March. The fight is going to take place on June 7th at New York's Madison Square Garden. The fight is pretty much a done deal, but some minor issues are being worked out. The fight will also have a four city tour, according to the veteran promoter.

"The announcement of the fight between Cotto and Martinez will probably take place sometime in the month of March," Arum told Carlos Narvaez. "They are discussing some issues and the negotiations have been somewhat slow. But there are pitchers who throw slow, but they do their job. We are already planning the tour, which is going to be in New York, California, Puerto Rico and Argentina."

[QUOTE=Golovkin;14230631]Oooookaaayyy...[B][I] Still can't take the leap of faith and book the flight and hotel. I have seen some sad scenarios where fans plan everything out and the fight either gets pushed back or not made at all. I believe this…
