| Concepcion Approaches WBO Prez For Brian Viloria Shot
|
|
By Jhonny Gonzalez During his recent visit to Panama, WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel was appraoched by former WBA champion Luis "El Nica" Concepcion (23-3, 18KOs). Concepcion is preparing for his return after getting knocked out in the first round by Tyson Marquez last October. Concepcion asked Paco for a shot at the organization's flyweight champion, Brian Viloria (30-3, 17KOs). The WBO President is willing to grant Concepcion a shot - when the Panamian fighter puts together a few victories and fights his way to a mandatory position in the rankings. Valcarcel told Concepcion - "I know that you're a quality fighter. Hopefully as you keep climbing the rankings and, become the mandatory challenger, you will have your opportunity." I barely keep my eyes on the divisions that far down...but as a "casual fan" of those divisions...I really would want to see that fight. |

Il Inca is powerful. But Viloria needs to a ring KO of the year type win.
He can join Pacquiao and Donaire on that list, Il Inca is the perfect boxer for that. |

Ninca has a lot of heart, but he is def not world class. If he gets another title shot he has to earn it. |
