Closing Out 2017: BoxingScene Pound For Pound

by Cliff Rold

Since the last update, only one of the top four fighters on the list stepped into the ring. In early December, Vasyl Lomachenko silenced the Cult of Rigo, overwhelming the Cuban maestro and forcing him to quit after six rounds.

It was Lomachenko’s fourth straight opponent to surrender. Was it enough to shake up the ratings?

If not, we at least know one name will move out of the top ten. Rigondeaux slides out and into the ratings comes a fighter who has been on a roll against a string of tough opponents since an early loss.
