Amateur middleweight standout Chris Pearson has inked a five year contract with powerful boxing manager Al Haymon. Pearson is slated to make his pro debut on November 26th in Cincinnati, where super featherweight Adrian Broner will headline at the U.S. Bank Arena. Pearson is a U.S Middleweight National Champion and during the recent "World Series of Boxing" competition, he decisioned 2008 gold medal winner Bakhyt Sarsekbayev of Kazakhstan. Haymon plans to use Golden Boy Promotions to push Pearson.

“We’re signing a 5-year deal with an option for two more if Chris is ranked in the top five,” said Milt Pearson, Chris father, to the Dayton Daily News. “They are putting together a brand and marketing strategy for Chris. They said he’s a natural for TV because of his story and the type kid he is. They are tired of all the arrogant kids and think he could be a breath of fresh air.”
