Chris Eubank Sr: In Five Fights, We Want James DeGale

Rising middleweight star Chris Eubank Jr performed in flashes to gain a points victory over former Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce in Belfast a few days ago. With his father looking on from ringside, the 23-year-old was far from faultless but was awarded the referee's decision 80-73 - a margin that was harsh on 31-year-old Pryce.

Eubank Jr said afterwards: "Every time I come out here, I want to prove to the fans and make a statement that I'm the real deal. This isn't a joke. It isn't a gimmick. Sure I could go out there looking for the knockout and throw haymakers in the first and second rounds, but I don't want to do that - I want to learn and get the rounds under my belt."

Eubank Senior added: "The fellow (Pryce) had 33 wins and from Christopher's viewpoint, in another five fights he's going to be speaking only about James DeGale."

[QUOTE=LA_2_Vegas]yeah I think it's already kind of a problem I agree. The thing is also that it looks like he's delivering them great, he's got nice speed he sits down on them pretty good. he has a pro style. it kind of reminds me how I felt about the Peterson brothers when they were coming up...

Gets hit too much for me. Pryce was getting to him and he wobbled him a couple of times. DeGale would beat him.

Billy Joe Saunders would tear this kid a new arsehole.

It always makes me chuckle when relatively new fighters are name dropping opponents they want 5 fights down the line.
