Chris Eubank Jr. Now Focused on October 13 Return

Denmark - Tonight the Nordic fight fans were treated to an impressive display at the Arena Nord by the worlds top middleweight prospect Chris Eubank Jr and his father, Chris Eubank Senior described his performance as “Like a perfect diamond, flawless.”

The referee halted the fight at 2:29 in round 3 judging Tadas Jonkus to be in no fit state to continue.

Chris Eubank Jr’s promoter Mick Hennessy said: “It was a brilliant performance against a hardened European kid who has previously gone to points over 8 rounds against former WBC Champion Cristian Sanavia and was stopped on his feet in 4 rounds by George Groves.

"Chris Jr is maturing nicely with each fight by trying new things out and this international expericence will bode well for him in the future."

"I would like to thank Team Sauerland, who as usual have put on a great show tonight." added Mick.

Eubank Jr who is unbeaten in 6 fights said. “I’m still learning my trade and  looking at the top of the bill tonight, Patrick Nielson, he will only have two chances to beat me, slim and none.

“The 13th October is approaching fast and if my promoter can slide in a fight in between now and then I will take it.”

“Channel 5 is becoming the old ITV of boxing and the public have a great future of young, hungry, talented fighters coming through which will be the new generation of super fighters.

“I’m looking to fight and beat the top guys in the system within a year, even though I have only had six fights."

Chris Eubank Jr added “Make sure you tune in to Channel 5 on Tuesday evening just after midnight and watch my fight.”

Tonights Nordic Fight Night at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, Denmark is promoted by Team Sauerland.
