Chris Eubank Junior (22-1, 17 KOs) has joined forces with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing for the second time. Hearn Tweeted the news at midday today, with Eubank’s opponent and further information to be revealed at a press conference tomorrow afternoon.
‘Proud to announce we have signed a new promotional deal with @ChrisEubankJr,’ wrote Hearn. He also stated that the British middleweight champion will fight on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s maiden IBF heavyweight title defence against Dominc Breazeale, which takes place on June 25 at London’s O2 Arena.
“It's great to be back on the Matchroom team and I’m really looking forward to fighting again on Sky,” said Eubank. “Anthony and I make a great British double act, when on the same card, and we guarantee excellent entertainment for our fans. I’m confident that there will be many more victories for both of us in the near future.”
“I'm delighted to agree a new promotional contract with Chris Eubank Jr,” added Hearn. “He is fast becoming one of the biggest star attractions in the sport and I feel we have the perfect platform in Sky Sports to continue that and deliver him the huge fights. It's a fantastic addition to the June 25 card and just like the last time Jnr was there, I'm sure he will light up The O2.”
Eubank has fought under Mick Hennessy, Frank Warren and re-joins Hearn following a stint with Matchroom last year. They briefly parted company when Hearn failed to secure the purse bids for Eubank’s fight against Nick Blackwell, a 10th-round TKO win that left the former champion with a bleed on the skull that forced doctors to place him into an induced coma.
Thankfully, Blackwell is now on the mend and Eubank has Tweeted his former opponent messages of support. Famously, his father was never the same fighter after his rematch with Michael Watson left his opponent with severe head injuries, often letting opponents off the hook when he had them hurt.
Eubank Junior, however, has stated that he will retain his offensive style despite what happened in the Blackwell fight. Fans will get to see if he is still the same fighter live on Sky Sports Box Office come June 25.

I remember back when Jr fought the Irish lad, they said that he'd have one more fight and then he was guaranteed a shot at Jacobs. The WBA is a mess so I'm guessing that's been forgotten as they're talking about ordering GGG-Jacobs next and nobody on the Eubank/Hearn side has mentioned it in a while.
I'm surprised Macklin retired recently as he must have a chance at a decent payday against Eubank or BJS.
Eubank was mandated to fight Jacobs after O'Sullivan b/c they stripped him of his interim title for Blanco. Eubank didn't go along with that and fought Blackwell instead, his loss.
Did anyone ever clarify why Booth no longer works with Jr?

it might be kinda hard since hearn was trashing the pbc platform and the whole degale signing with haymon thing.
So long as Hearn has Joshua he'll have some leverage with Al.

Hmmm, only a 2 fight deal?
So they fight in June then September. No way they take GGG.

Eubank won't sign any long terms contract with a promoter.
If you bring him the good fights, he'll extend the contract on a fight by fight basis, if you don't bring him the good fights, he's gone.
More fighters should take this position.
