According to Silvio Conrado Jr., manager of 108-pound titleholder Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, his fighter is targeting his next defense to take place in either August or September.
"We're studying some options, but we still have to wait for the negotiations," Conrado told Nicaraguan publication HOY.
Conrado also mentioned that the bout would either take place in Japan or California.
Gonzalez (32-0, 27 KOs), a former strawweight titlist from Managua, Nicaragua, has seen his electric power carry over into the junior flyweight division. He is coming off a fourth-round stoppage of Ramon Garcia Hirales in April.
