Chocolatito Looking at Fall Return in California or Japan

By Ryan Maquiñana

According to Silvio Conrado Jr., manager of 108-pound titleholder Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, his fighter is targeting his next defense to take place in either August or September.

"We're studying some options, but we still have to wait for the negotiations," Conrado told Nicaraguan publication HOY.

Conrado also mentioned that the bout would either take place in Japan or California.

Gonzalez (32-0, 27 KOs), a former strawweight titlist from Managua, Nicaragua, has seen his electric power carry over into the junior flyweight division.  He is coming off a fourth-round stoppage of Ramon Garcia Hirales in April.

Make I wish they could make that unfication with Nietes happen, but if it can't be done then I'd be very much interested in him vs. Miyazaki in Japan.

I agree with the poster above me but it's not like they are lining up to fight him. He just needs to stay busy and get on a PPV undercard so that he can get more exposure. I cant wait…

I like the way this guy fights but they need to put him in there with someone well known now.
