Chisora Open To The Idea of Obtaining Russian License

British heavyweight Dereck Chisora told RIA Novosti that he's open to the idea of obtaining a license to box in Russia. Chisora is in the process of appealing a recent decision from the British Boxing Board of Control, who revoked his license in connection to his wild antics before and after a February title fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

Chisora arrived in Moscow to attend the April 4th clash between WBA interim cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev and challenger Shawn Cox.

Igor Mazurov, the general secretary of the Russian Professional Boxing Federation, told RIA Novosti that his organization is within its rights to issue licenses to whomever it likes, regardless of citizenship.

If it works, then sure. Getting allowed back in the ring must be essential in his situation. Maybe he's taken lesson and miraculously become less of a maniac.

If it keeps him active, do it. But I'd prefer to see him obtaining an American license and boxing on a few FNF shows.
