Chemito Moreno Hopes To Move Forward With NYC Debut
By Jhonny Gonzalez
According to Carlos Gonzalez, who promotes WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (32-1-1, 11KOs) in Panama, discussions are still ongoing to place the boxer in a fight in New York City, home to a large Panamanian community. Golden Boy Promotions, who promote Moreno in the United States, are making moves to further build his following in America, says Gonzalez.
If everything comes together, Gonzalez expects a return date at the end of March or early April. They hope the details get finalized for Chemito to debut in New York City. He made his United States debut on December 3rd, dominating former champion Vic Darchinyan over twelve rounds.
Moreno is a good fighter he beat vic pretty easy I don't see him and Mares squaring off soon but I would like to see him on Golden Boy PPV undercards.Comment by LeadUppercut on 12-21-2011
