The World Bantamweight Champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno, has received permission to fight while dealing with his ongoing legal situation with Roberto Grimaldo, the boxer's manager. The managerial contract is currently suspended by way of a court order. The Boxing Commission of Panama ruled that Moreno will be able to fight and sign for any fight without having to receive approval from Grimaldo.

Moreno has been with Grimaldo since the amateurs but the two men had a falling out. Moreno claims the managerial contract, which expires in 2015, is void because Grimaldo made business decisions that were not in the best interest of the fighter.
