Chemito Moreno Arrives Back Home To a Hero's Welcome

By Ricardo Archibold Mendez

The bantamweight world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Panama's Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno, arrived back home to Panama after making his tenth successful defense against Mexican David 'Morita' De La Mora on Saturday at the Don Haskins Convention Center in El Paso, Texas, USA.

Upon his arrival in the country, 'Chemito' Moreno, with his wife Rouss Laguna, celebrated the victory with a glass of champagne. Moreno received high praise from the local fans, friends and media members.

"This win is dedicated to my son who is going to be born on May 14 and to all of the Panamanians. So now I will celebrate with my wife," Moreno said last night at the Tocumen International Airport.

Moreno now has a record of 33 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 12 knockouts.
