Oswaldo Kuchle of Promociones Del Pueblo informed BoxingScene.com that they have received a contract from Top Rank to match WBC mandatory middleweight challenger Marco Antonio Rubio against the champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

There is some confusion because yesterday the WBC ruled that Chavez must face Sergio Martinez in his next fight or be stripped. Kuchle revealed that Top Rank had reached an agreement with Martinez's team to allow Chavez to face Rubio under the condition that the winner faces Martinez next.

"Chavez's team reached an agreement with Martinez's people.  The agreement is that the winner will face Martinez in their next fight," stated Kuchle. "I sat ringside next to Martinez. He told me that Rubio will knockout Chavez in six rounds or less."
